Ok let's try this again. Underground Sub-Genius artist "Saint" Byron Werner created these lp covers in 1976. There's a lot to see in these scans! My favorite detail: The amphitheater at the top of the extraterrestrial pyramid has a marquee. You can't read it unless you zoom in, but it says "Hendrix Concert Today" !

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to embed this Picasa pic here. I guess you just have to visit the link. Make sure you click though to both of the two images (front and back). And also be sure to click the magnifying glass icon at the top right to view the higher rez version.

Hey thanks for helping out with that Mourningstar! By the way, in case anyone's interested, I used a free Sourceforge software called "Hugin" to scan these lp covers. The software lets you scan oversized items on an ordinary home scanner. I just placed the lp in one of the scanner corners and scanned it in 4 passes, rotating it a quarter turn each time until it was completely scanned. The software automatically compensates for the lighting fall off and other distortions around the edges where the album doesn't lay quite flat onto the glass. The software recognizes that the scans are facing four different directions. It autostitches them anyway. At 300dpi, it took the software about 10 minutes to think but the results are completely seamless!
