Somewhere I read a quote by Jimi where he talks about playing Mrs. Miller records slowed down or backwards! Anybody else recall reading that Jimi was a Mrs. Miller fan?

And if you don't know who Mrs. Miller was check it out

I know this reply is not as helpful as the previous one,
but I came across this :

Clik Here (http://www.spectropop.com/SamChalpin/index.htm)

Not exactly what you're after but there does seem to be
at least 'some' connection/validity to what you recall perhaps.

Why? Because I'm interested in Jimi's listening habits and musical influences. Now frankly I'm pretty sure that Jimi was joking when he talked about listening to Mrs. Miller records backwards - but he did say it. And I was hoping someone here would clue me in to the context which I can't quite recall.

We know that Jimi was a fan of 60's comedy acts like the Smothers Bros and Bill Cosby. We also know that Jimi could hear music where most mortals only heard noise.

Anyway, thanks for the Ed Chalpin link. Didn't Chalpin produce the Hendrix/Jayne Mansfield "collaboration"?
