============
Hi,

Just an update on the Eyewitness 66-67 book.

Just want to let you know I'm short of 15 orders to cover for the printing cost of another print run. I have 43 orders in, I need 58.

Printing cost has increased with a few hundred euros, but the price will remain 50 euro per book. Just need more orders, that's all.

I will keep you updated if anything develops for the better.

Cheers,

Ben.

I signed up for the book. I have the other 2. They're Great. You can see that ALOT of work was put into researching and putting together these books. Lots of rare photos articles from newspaper and magazine archives. A Tip Of The Hat to Ben Valkoff for all his hard work which benefits all of us Jimi Fans.

Is there any news on this book. Can I order it somewhere ? I just got the other two ( ordered them at Experience Hendrix, but later found out I could have done that cheaper through Ben 's own site ) and I really enjoy them. The reviews and photos really put you in a time machine, to travel back to the sixties.

Hi bolexje,

I just ordered the other two Eyewitness books from Ben and he offered me the 1966-67 book saying he has few still left, so I bought it too. These books are even greater than I could imagine! 66-67 with full colour photos!

Contact Ben if he still has any left. I hope you'll get your copy.

Great books guys, all of them... ;)

When Ben emailed me that the book was now available I was happy. When he informed me of (1) it was not a production unit but the same pre-production released last-year (with warts & all) and (2) the cost for USA buyers ( a C-note more or less) I was unhappy and cancelled. As an independant consultant my situation toggles between feast and famine and it's currently famine. However, had it not be so I would snatch it up at twice what he's asking (when I'm feasting, money is no object when it comes to Jimi)!

... I was unhappy and cancelled.Oh, what the hey! I weakened and ordered it (fortunately Ben had a couple left! couldn't stand the thought of having an incomplete set and then having to pay a real fortune if someone decided to auction their's off on eBay!). So I'll give myself a X-mas present, who's gonna know?

The very occasional "warts" are more than compensated for in that much of it's in colour. I'm sure you'll agree when you see it.

I finally ordered the book today. The previous two books were very good i think.

Hmm..I just peeked at these over at the Authentic Hendrix store, but only saw the 69-70 edition (although at a much cheaper price than 50 euros, so I do not understand your comment bolexje).

Does Exp Hendrix not sell the others at the moment?

Does Exp Hendrix not sell the others at the moment?According to Ben, the 66-67 document (of which this thread is all about, btw) will not go into production and he only produced a handful of these in a 'pre-production' version. You will need to contact him directly to see if he has any left.

Ehh...Looks like I'm late to the party, this thread began months ago. I just realized that now...

Well, I'll contact Ben, but I'm not hopeful.

I'm bumping this thread to say that I recently found myself with the disposable funds to allow me to pull the trigger on this book, so I did! I just wanted to echo everything that's been posted already...the book is most excellent and to have most everything in color is an added treat. A big thanks to Ben for this labor of love.

P.S. If you were holding out because you weren't sure it was worth the money, don't. It's worth every penny.
