We Gotta Live Together is part of a medley with Voodoo Chile.
It's available on the official 2 CD "Live At The Fillmore East"
Several guitar parts and Buddy's rambling are edited on the
"Band Of Gypsys" album.

Jimi being the perfectionist he was when it came to music
released under his name wasn't satisified with most
of the performances from the Fillmore shows.
Most of the tracks were edited by Jimi and Eddie Kramer
in 1970 when they were putting together the Band of Gypsys album.

Peace & Love,

There are many, many edits all painstakingly detailed in a Jimpress mag.

Whether you think Buddy is "rambling" or not, the most obvious reason for editing We Gotta Live Together was to fit it on to a 12" LP

FWIW that edit was done by Jimi and Eddie in 2/70. They prepared several edits and the one on "Live At The Fillmore East" was one of the rejected ones.
