On Ladyland he plays bass on every track except "Voodoo Chile" (Jack Casady), "Little miss strange", "Come on", "Crosstown traffic", "Burning of the midnight lamp" and "Voodoo Child (slight return) (Noel).

On "Axis" he apparently plays some bass on "Spanish castle magic" and the outro of the title track. Then we have "Live and let live", the track with Tim Leary, the demo of "Woodstock" with Steve Stills, the summer 1967 sessions and some 1965 sessions with Curtis Knight.

I had to check out info on Watchtower as I thought Mason played bass- in the end according to the excerpt below, Bass was handled by Jimi.

(Taken from Wikipedia)
According to Hendrix’s regular engineer Eddie Kramer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Kramer), the guitarist cut a large number of takes on the first day, shouting chord changes at Dave Mason (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Mason) who had appeared at the session and played guitar. Halfway through the session, bass player Noel Redding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noel_Redding) became dissatisfied with the proceedings and left. Mason then took over on bass. According to Kramer, the final bass part was played by Hendrix himself.

Edit - Its CD 6 of In The Studio, and the track is `Calling all Devils Children Jam`. It starts of with 5 mins or so of Just bass and drums. Then some nice rhythm guitar.

Also Valleys of Neptune was overdubbed by Jimi on Bass apparently.

What a master he was...could play guitar and bass upside down.

I wish we had audio of him playing an "upside down" guitar...because we have audio of the upside down bass on all the tunes he played on and he sounds amazing.

There is no bass on "Rainy Day Dream Away/Still Raining Still Dreaming" or "And The Gods Made Love."
