As my former upload "Intervieuw with family & close one around jimi" didn't seem to work properly,and the tracker has been restarted since than here's my second atempt,
I created a new torrent with a slightly different name,hope this one works better.

Let me warn you that there's NO MUSIC in these files,but only interviews with a.o.

Leon Hendrix (Jimi's brother) Cathy Etchingham,Mitch Mitchell,Alexis Korner

It's a so called "Audio Book" with Kris Kristofferson talkin all these interviews together,
Though his "Cowboy Voice" might get a bit annoying,the intervieuws mostly are quite interesting,
all be it not entirely new to some.

Hi Thunderbaas,

When you create the torrent (with utorrent?) you have to set the tracker address to

http://crosstowntorrents.org:5555/announce

You upload that file as an attachment, and download it to your computer.
Erase/Delete the file you just created in utorrent. Its probably still running.

Open the torrent file from the thread with utorrent and point it to the folder on your computer where the files are (the folder containing the flacs you already have).

If that doesnt do it, there's something up with the tracker.

By the way,

The folder in your current torrent has FLAC and WAV files, you forgot to erase the WAV files after creating the FLACs, i reckon :-)

We'll get there.

Well Hawkfan indeed did'nt have the private torrent enabled,so that might be the problem. So I'll have another go.

OK Thanks a lot Johanincr., Steev & Hawkfan (liked the dog avatar better,but it's a hendrix forum of course) for your support & help on this one,the first upload might go a little slow,but that's likely my bad provider. So if someone downloads this one please keep seeding.

There's still something strange going on here,when I take a look in my u-torrent in the category "trackers" it lists 2 trackers :
1.the "http://crosstowntorrents.org:5555/announce" which reads "defect:unregistered torrent"
& 2. the "http://crosstowntorrents.org:5555/u4973soldgqk832tlbz0lhjeuiywnghi/announce" which reads "working"



Removed the first tracker,so it should be working totally ok now.
And to the mods,sorry for the trouble it took,but it probably was only my
inexperience with uploading and not the tracker that created the problems.
Still its working now.

TB. I just checked my tracker . . . Looks like I haven't DL'd anything yet. R U still UL'ing? We're showing 1 Seeder, but I'm just checking. When I use my Windoze Toshiba [which ain't usual] & I use UTorrent, I find if I right click the torrent in question I can go down to "Bandwidth Allocation" and I make sure the setting is on "High" [3 choices-High/Normal/Low] That always helps speed things along a bit. Even when I use my Mac [usually] Transmission also gives me the same choices. UL allocation, DL allocation & how long I want to seed. I set mine to forever [in the case of CTT :-]
But it's been about 30mins, I'm NOT firewalled & nothing's coming in. I'll figure something out.
Now where are those pliars ? ! ? ! ? ! :D

Hi steev
Just put the bandwith on high,so it might go a littlebit quicker now,but the trouble is with my provider. Had some trouble comming through on the internet a month ago phoned my provider about this,and they reset something,so now the internet is working fine,but my downloading is a lot slower,and also I have a lot of torrents (over 200) in my utorrent because I like to pass on my downloads (most of them are CTT downloads by the way) So you have to bear with me a little on this one,as I mentioned before the first download might take a while. But I wont shut my pc down until a couple of downloaders catch the whole file. So once again sorry for the inconvenience,but you just have to have some patience on this one. (It'll be worth it though)

Here's a real quick tip. And it was taught to me the 1st week I was here. When U have so many seeds, it conflicts "everything" you're trying to give. 2 points.
1-When you're seeding something "Brand New" pause or stop all except 1 or 2 others [ALL that you can] while Uploading. That way at least ONE person will complete theirs & can then help seed & so on . . . . When you have a couple seeders, which will be relatively quickly, you can then open a couple that you closed.

2-On having so many other seeds open. It's basically the same thing. You're almost working "against" your own ratio "quest" :) Your bandwidth is spread so far that you might only be UL'ing a couple kpb's at a time What I found, again I was taught here at CTT actually . . . If you run thru the 1st 5-10 pages every couple days or so, which can be a cool experience actually, just to see what's moving & all, you can see who's leeching and [I]then open what you have to offer. You'll find there are always a couple you can help with, and your UL speed will fly, which as a side effect raises your ratio in leaps & bounds. This is good info for ALL the sites . . Think about it. If you had 4-10 or 12 open & they were always seeding,
One - the leechers would be helped most and -
Two - your own ratio numbers would be right up there with the best of them, which U already are . . . :) Just something to consider. I need 2 get some shuteye here. G'nite man. Sleep tight. C U on the "other" side. :)

Gonna get me some sleep too,it's fuckin 8 o'clock in the morning overhere.
