i know, i know, something else that's not jimi...

In the fall of 1967, the Miles Davis Quintet did a tour of Europe, and many of the concerts were broadcast and thus ended up on Dime, where I got this several months ago. This concert is especially wonderful because of the two minute duet between Davis and Herbie Hancock that introduces "'Round Midnight." To my knowledge, this is the first and only time they played a duet, and the result is possibly the most lyrical, most sublime Miles Davis I have ever heard.

Here is the original information, pasted from the info file.

Miles Davis (tp), Wayne Shorter (ts), Herbie Hancock (p), Ron Carter (b), Tony Williams (dr).
"De Doelen", Rotterdam, October 30, 1967.
1 Footprints (not complete/ fade-in)
2 'Round Midnight
3 No Blues
4 On Green Dolphin Street
5 Riot
6 Masqualero
