In the "artwork torrent" posted here some time ago
I found the following artwork:

Of course, as it happens often with collector's discs,
the info on the cover might be wrong or
invented (intentionally ?!).
My question is:
IS THERE A SOUNDBOARD RECORDING OF THE
FEBRUARY 18TH '69 ROYAL ALBERT HALL CONCERT?
IF THE ANSWER IS YES, IS IT IN CIRCULATION
(anybody has it)?
Thanks in advance!

Yes there is a soundboard recording of the rah18 show, and you know it!:cheese:

No it is not in general circulation.

EH and the original tape-owners have it, and possibly but not likely some 'friends' of people working for EH and/or the company that filmed the RAH shows.
I dont know anyone who has more than 1 song from that SBD source.

BTW, that artwork has the spoof Track logo on it, that is also found on different artwork for discs that do circulate. For someone who collects artwork it should not be too hard to find out where that artwork came from, i.o.w. who made it. That person 'should' have the music too, whether SBD or not.

Here's the front cover of this mysterious collector's disc.
Both RAH '69 concerts are often dismissed as bad ones.
However, it the opposite. They were excellent and feature
Jimi in great form just tired of the "circus act" the
audience wanted him to do.
Concert on the 24th was obviously better but the 18th is also great
and among the best concerts Jimi plyed on the European '69 tour
and that's precisely the reason why it would be of great
importance to find and circulate a soundboard of this concert.
The audience tape is already available. And since it witnesses
very well how great this concert was, there's no doubt the soundboard
recording would give us much, much more pleasure and conserve it
properly for the future.

What do you think who made the artwork and for what purpose
did he put it into circulation (the artwork I mean) without the
audio files?

I have no idea who made the artwork, although i can think of 1 or 2 usual 'suspects'.

Whether he put the artwork into circulation without music files? Impossible to say! Compare some track-timings on the backcover with regular/usual AUD source transfers and you'll have some clues.

I still think the irrelevant 'Track' logo is THE major clue.
Know what i mean?

Hehe, clever one, Johan - lol!
Let's hope someone does finally "track" the recording down
and puts it into circulation.
Or EH makes the RAH box set with video and soundboard audio of
both concerts (imagine such box set - wild!).
