Didn't Miles ask for $50,000 for this session like the day B4 the session was supposed to happen???
$50,000 says Jimi doesn't make it . . . . :( :(

Everybody wants an egg from the Golden Goose . . . . . .

Thanx Jualino :)

It's was probably more to do with the fact that Miles did not like to be taken advantage of by record companies, or Alan Douglas indeed...

Betty Mabry/Davis has said they were just close friends.
Besides, Miles had plenty of women...

Besides, Miles had plenty of women...
actually, Miles and Betty were married and Miles divorced her because she tried to hide her relationship with Jimi.
Miles didn't care if she fucked Jimi, but she tried to hide it and he found out through some other girl.

this is from his autobiography.

I know, dude. Miles is my favorite musician, but let's not go into his personal stuff... Besides, don't take that book as gospel. It's actually full of factual errors.

As the song goes...Who Knows.... I also heard or read that Tony Williams was a candidate to play and wanted a huge amount of money as well. And the session was ready to go when they called and canceled. Fools if you ask me to be that way. Could of made History. But were greedy.

... Could of made History. ....Oh, ... Tony and Miles made history just the same. Don't take my word for it, google them!

(Actually, Miles was already legend at this time and Tony was on the fast-track)

tony williams called shortly after also asking for $50,000, record companies were shady back in the day, I can't say I blame them...

2 names don't make something history, mclaughlin was very troubled by all the people who wanted to just put shit out like this because of the strength of the names. whose to say there wouldn't have been arguements and lack of focus towards a common goal on the recording sessions? we can speculate all day, but I say we appreciate what is here and not what could have been.

JIMI WAS NOT A 'JAZZER'< HE OCCASIONALLY PLAYED MUSIC THAT JAZZERS WOULD CLAIM AS JAZZ< BUT THT WAS JUST BECAUSE THEY forgot That there is no such thin g as jazz, it's just american music that some mAKE TOO FUKED UP FOR USA'ns. If you can't DANCE TO IT WHAT'S THE POINT. mILES DAVIS & co, SNOBBY, RACIST TWAT
