    Re: STUDIO'70 Revision A

All of this material has been "superseded" by a more recent 1970 collection that is circulating in collectors land.
I'd suggest looking for that as opposed to dissecting the errors with this...

Re: What They Said About THE MAN

Neither Douglas or Davis were in any position to "find" a new band for Hendrix!

Playing with various other musicians was what Hendrix was all about by 1970, a new band sounds odd and these...
  5. Re: Lightnin' Rod, Last Poet Jalal Mansur Nuriddin dead at 74

    Yeah, sad news.

I saw this article and it explains why Jalal was not part of the recently broadcast piece with the other poets that was aired on Newsnight here in the UK.

  7. Re: From The Benjamin Franklin Studios 2019 edition parts 1 & 2 now available

The first edition of Ben Franklin was a single book, it has evolved into six volumes with a possible expantion on the horizon!

When you speak of the first edition of this book, that was two...

  9. Re: RSD 2018: The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Hamburg '67 (EP)

Well I surprised to see this issued, not just in the UK but issued at all.

From what I can gather this was an unlicensed release so very surprised it got any approval for RSD!

    If it was missed...

    Re: Record Collector May 2018

Nope, don't have this but I did look through it in the shop!

I only noticed a short Hendrix related piece, a 45 RPM 10" disc.
  11. Re: RSD 2018: Jimi Hendrix - Mannish Boy/ Trash Man "7

Yep, discog's is as wrong as it is right!!

Not a truly trustworthy site for information.

It was thought pre release that this was unofficial and I guess Discog's went with that and someone...
  12. Re: RSD 2018: Jimi Hendrix - Mannish Boy/ Trash Man "7

Official or it would not have made RSD, at least here in the UK.

Like I say, it must be licenced from the broadcast station which would not require authorisation from either EH or the catalogue...

  14. Re: RSD 2018: Jimi Hendrix - Mannish Boy/ Trash Man "7

I was wondering if this US pressing was the same as the EU in terms of rpm! It is!!

An RSD release and I have to wonder just what buyers expect? Something new to their collection or is this day...
  15. Re: RSD 2018: Jimi Hendrix - Mannish Boy/ Trash Man "7

Surprisingly the Hamburg 67 7" 33 EP was issued. Must have been licenced from the radio station as there is no apparent EH or Sony link!

Listed on the sleeve, the intro and five trax and is stated...

    Re: New Book(?)

Is it a book, a fanzine, hardback, dust cover.....?

If it's simply a take in the univibes issue then it's very very expensive.
30 for what is looking like a glorified pamphlet lay out!

  20. Re: Behind The Scenes Eddie Kramer Mixing/Isolated Tracks

Indeed. He has unhappy with the mastering of his records.

He sought out a mastering engineer who he wanted to cut his records [so it goes]. That engineer was Robert Ludwig.

    RL as he is know...

My oh my, what memories this old pressing brings back.

  22. Re: Behind The Scenes Eddie Kramer Mixing/Isolated Tracks

    What they say.

One tape, multiple tracks per tape.
Each track is an individual recording of an instrument / vocal or even something else. Though when the limit of the tape was 4 track(s), the...
