    Buddy Miles played at the Supershow in London March 1969 but Buddy Rich didn't play afik. Hendrix would have been there but missed his plane. Perhaps Buddy Rich went there and mixed everything up?

    His early 1967 recordings have a different guitar sound, more boomy (i.e. supa fuzz) and less bright than the later sounds (i.e. fuzz face), I would guess
