Exclamation The End of CTT For The General Public???

I hope this issue is only mine.

99.999% of the time I visit this site I am already logged in and encounter this site, and due to the longevity of the issue, with no thought to it's noticeable handicap. However, today I logged out and discovered that the site for all intent and purposes is dead to any and all that do not log in. I am unable to navigate to any of the site's forums. The only plus, for me, is that the 'Gallery' is still accessible.

Same thing here. I've had this issue for at least six months now.

I have to log in to see anything except the gallery. The site logs me out if I leave it for any length of time.

Never had that particular problem, but still find it a chore accessing the threads the "Long way round" I`d have thought Pat would have got hold of Will by now, I`m sure He`s tried, Lets hope all problems get sorted as soon as possible, and we continue to spread Jimi`s love!

Re: The End of CTT For The General Public???

Folks, sad to hear of these continuing issues but we are all having some issue or other it seems.
I had a problem when I was continually logged out whenever I left the site but that does not happen for me now. I do have to navigate the site “the long way round” but at least I miss less activity from members that way.
All I can say is please be patient and when the issues can be addressed and fixed I’m sure they will be.

Re: The End of CTT For The General Public???

Interesting feedback. However, I titled the topic ("... General Public") to bring attention to my inability to navigate anything but the gallery. I was once able to navigate ALL of the site and even view member profiles, WITHOUT having to log in. Naturally, the 'members only' (i.e. "logged in") functions were not available (posting, d/l, u/l, shoutbox, etc.) so I was wanting to learn if this specific issue is just me or it also affects the 'General (i.e. not logged in) Public'.

If not logged in or none members attempt to view CTT the best you or they will get is a tour of the Gallery.
True, this is not how it once was as none members and members not logged in could view threads and posts but could not post comment.

If it is not public who then are the 29 "guests"?

Excellent question. I suspect most are 'spiders' and the rest are folk coming in ("oooo, a cool looking Jimi Hendrix site!") and out ("awww, what a drag man, nothin' works - I'm outta here").

Re: The End of CTT For The General Public???

Update regarding non-spider guests. In addition to the Gallery, non-logged in site visitors are able to access the site 'Archives'. Unfortunately, it is a text-only view of all the forums topic matter. However, it and the Gallery access upgrades the site from DOA to 'on life-support' status.

    Here in Arizona:

I can only get on at infrequent hours of the day, maybe 4/24, but have full access when we do connect.

29 guests? I was worried that the hard core Jimi fanbase had dwindled to, like, 10 guys.
