    Jimi's New York crew

Hi everyone, I would like help in remembering the names of Jimi's associates, friends, girlfriends, groupies, employee's, musicians, management, and general hangers on while he was living in New York, off and on, from 1968-1970.
("sic" means I know I don't and/or might not know the correct spelling)

Examples off the top of my head:

    Michael Jefferies (sic?) - management
    Traci Sullivan(?) - secretary(?)
    Bob Levine(?)
    Bob's wife(?)
Gerry Stickles - Road Manager (I know he was British, but he was around)
    Mitch & Noel
    Billy Cox
    Eddie Kramer
    Alan Douglas
    Stella Douglas
    Collette
    Devon Wilson
    Deering Howe
    Faye Pridgeon (sic?)
    Juma Sultan
    Gary Kellgren (Record Plant)
    Emeretta Marks (sic?)
    Jerry Velez
    Paul Caruso
    Steve Paul (is he alive?)
    Dave Palmer (engineer?)
    Tony Bon Giovi (sic?)
    Velvert Turner

I am traveling and I don't have access to my reference books and it would be helpful for me to get some more names asap.

This will be a much bigger list then I realized at first.
    Thanks for your help,
    Souldog

There was a French/Morroccan woman Jimi lived with called Monique when he first got his NY apartment. One of Devon's friends. Her full name isnt mentioned though.

Also Al Brown I think he was in New York.

Yes I think she's mentioned in Knight's book, or Henderson's? -possibly a mix-up/aka for Collette? (French Moroccan) any more info?

She mentioned in Electric Gypsy p279. I dont think she is a mix up for Collette as she was married and seeing Jimi on the side when her husband was away. There might be a pic of her in Mitch Mitchels book, but thinking back that might have been Jeneatte Jacobs.

Thanks, quite a few Jewish (French?) Moroccan women in Jimi's entourage? Monique, Collette, Stella, and allegedly, Emmaretta Marks & Pat Hartley?

Yes there does seem to be-these ladies seem to be friends of Devon's, who despite her reputation seems a very popular person with an interesting circle of friends.

Emmaretta and Pat are American New Yorkers arent they? Didnt know they were Morroccan.

BTW have to mention to all- Betty Davis's music is fantastic. Its worth checking out on you tube.

re-Pat & Emmarretta being of Jewish Moroccan extraction - I've read it but am doubtful of the accuracy. Betty was ahead of her time.

Terry and Jimi apparently hung out some in New York, as in the famous Miles Davis encounter. You may be right about Scott, though it's been claimed he hung out at the house in Woodstock. According to Arthur Lee, Scott had an affair with "Jimi's lady"...whoever that might have been.

Terry Reid: "He [Jimi] was the sweetest guy. He picked up my guitar at a gig and starts ripping the same licks he played, but left-handed, upside down. I was depressed enough when he played normally."
