The ELL looks like a sweet release, but it also makes one wonder why AYE and Axis were not given a similar treatment. It's not like they were irrelevant albums...

I don't have a blu ray player. Why couldn't they do a DVD version?

Probably because they wanted to present uncompressed audio resolution for the 5.1 mix

Maybe i've been out of the loop here, but was it known that a soundboard recording existed of the Bowl show?
In any event, this looks good!

I think very few people knew or noticed the recording mics before. I'd never heard or read anything about it, but I had noticed the strange vocal mic.
There's a LOT of other shows that were recorded in 1968, mostly by Jimi. Many of the shows from February - March 1968 and Sgt. Pepper's Club in July, to name a few. Who has them and whether they still exist are not is another story.

Previously unreleased mono mixes? All of these mono mixes were released on the Classic Singles collection Vol 2 not to mention they were all rebased as mono 45s as they initially came out. Are these truly unique or is it more marketing hype?

    Re: Next Release?

    Indeed.

Crazy marketing comments again from these guys.

But if we consider the Classic Box set that these appeared in it's not much clearer.
Lamp has this from the original mono mix, fine as that is clear enough. While the other two are from the original Reprise mono mixes. Clear as mud.

Kramer says he never mixed this ALBUM in mono, did he mix certain tracks [outside of Lamp] for mono from the remainder of the material? If so, which ones?

Or, as has been suggested these appeared on the Reprise label as "fold down" mono, merged at the mastering stage from the stereo tapes?

    Probably the latter.
