Imagine if EH branched off into Dagger Video and gave us stuff like Sacramento, Dallas 1970, the Village Gate performance, and all the other little nuggets they have which can't be released officially because of quality or inadequate length.

Here's the original thread where we found out EH has the footage : http://crosstowntorrents.org/showthr...ght=sacramento

As mentioned in the thread it's more likely to be footage along the lines of the Newport footage we have. Would still be amazing to see 20-30 mins of the concert.

    Re: Next Release?

This could be an issue for AYE, but I think they'd be able to scrape together a rarities disc that would only be released on the Super Deluxe set - unlikely there would be much, if anything, left after that. But then again, look at all the "alternate takes" that keep popping up on rarities sets like WCSB. As far as Axis, there are definitely takes and a few songs/jams/instrumentals that have yet to be "officially" released - we probably have most, if not all, of what would be released here, but it would be nice to see it all get an official release, mastered from the original tapes in the best quality possible.

I own every CD release Experience Hendrix has ever put out including singles, boxed sets, special editions, live performances, and Dagger releases. I love making my own contextual mixes such as First Rays mixes based on Jimi's hand written track-lists, and the one I'm currently working on, a compilation of all of the material Jimi and Stephen Stills put together.

Interesting indeed, seems more like a Theater only release at this time (which I would gladly pay to see). Jerry still has a trove of material from January and February 1969 that he seems to be content holding onto. Thanks for the info purplehazechild!

    Re: Next Release?

So doing some deduction here. The film is listed as 110 minutes. It is probably safe to assume the majority of the film is from 2/24/69 which was a 105 minute show. So with all the other shows listed as being in the film too 2/18/69 RAH, Speakeasy, Berlin, Vienna, (2 shows) and Strasbourg it is also probably safe to say we wont be getting the complete 2/24/69. Prior comments from John McDermot specifically stated some material from 2/18 and the Speakeasy would be in there. So that really doesn't leave much time for any of the other venues besides the 2 RAH shows (of which 2/24 is bound to be predominant) and the Speakeasy jam. My curiosity is now how much from the 2/24 show will be balanced with all the other material and is there enough material from the other shows for more releases after this release (if this one ever actually happens itself)

The main problem with that is that the quality will gradually deteriorate over the years, dam it. Please let it all already been digitally transferred for future quality release
