1969-01-01 New York City, Record Plant

Wednesday 1 January 1969 - no gig, no gigs for previous 30 nights, no gigs for next 7 nights
New York City, Record Plant, NY.

JMcD has no entry for this date
Jimi was still staying in his home town, New York City

    Session details unknown

    Thursday 2 January 1969 – no gig
    London, Brook St. flat
Jimi flew from his home town, New York City to London, about 7 hours.
He moved into Kathy’s Brook St. flat, he hasn’t seen much of her for about a year since his 2nd European visit 11 months ago (17-28 Jan 68 - 12 nights, max?). He had possibly spent a few days with her during his 3rd (June – 6 nights, max?) & 4th European visits (July – 19 nights max? She did not accompany him for the JHE's 4 night trip to Majorca, 15-18th.).
Jimi is based in London for a couple of months, while he does a brief tour of North West Europe and a couple of gigs at the Albert Hall which will, it is planned, provide the content for a ‘Farewell Experience’ film, a bit like the ‘Farewell Cream’ but not just limited to their Albert Hall concerts, as Cream’s was. Gold & Goldstein’s ‘FarOut Productions’ have been hired to film it (bad mistake).
Mitch & Noel have been back home in the UK since 2nd December 1968.

    Kathy, not Cathy.

Jimi saw Kathy in June and July 1968.
