After Soft Machine had played, Jimi jammed with various musicians.
Noel: “I show up at The Scene that night and meet the Hollies, Jimi’s there and has a blow. IPat Hartley: “Places like the Scene we liked to hang out, basically because we could dance all night. The extra added attraction was having live people performing. Also, being a chick and not having to be taken out was another reason for going there. You didn't have to have a date. I mean, Devon Wilson, who had known Jimi forever, she and I gave each other dirty looks in bathrooms all over town for a long time!
It was a steady progression from this club, to that club. We were all young actresses, professional extras really. Heather married Roger Daltrey and she was living with Devon at this time and so Heather and I used to do this film, that film. So it was an amorphous group of people all together.
I remember times in clubs where chicks would come and obviously they've been preparing themselves in the bathroom for half an hour for this big number, you know, they've got the lipstick on, the courage up. And out they come and over to the table, boom, boom, boom. And the moment anybody would get up, I mean all, all, all places at the table were continually full. I mean you couldn’t get up for a second without eight people charging for your chair. And they'd sit down and by the time they got there, they were so fucking uptight, you know, about having to go through this massive preparation. What were they gonna say, and how were they gonna say it, and how were they gonna make the best impression possible? That they came on like a bunch of snots. I mean, Jimi would turn around and say, 'Hi, my name is Jimi, who are you?"
