    Torrents to Cds For Dummies!

Like I was advised, I looked around & went back as far as I was allowed in Tech Support for an answer...maybe this is so obvious it's not even addressed! Once I successfully uploaded a show (St Paul70-praise God!) how do you get it onto a cd that will play in a cd player? I've burned 3 cds so far - 1st the complete file from My Documents/that won't play at all, then sent each individual track to the cd drive/that wouldn't play in the cd player but will in Windows Media Player, then I did the individual tracks again with some mp3s just to experiment/the mp3s played in the player but not St Paul trks! Plus, usually when I put a cd in my laptop,Windows Media Player tries to rip the tracks 1st thing - for St Paul it won't even list them! I suspect it's the difference between mp3s & what form I received the music (FLAC? as in 'a FLAC' - that was a wise quack!) Guess it's sorta like taking a step back! How do y'all save the music- to flashbrives?Phones? Anyway, thanks for everything so far!!

    You have downloaded a show.

It will be encoded to FLAC which can be played on all manner of devices if supported with a media player such as VLC.
To get them to play on a CD /Standard CD player you need to re convert to a WAVE format.
A free program along the lines of Traders Little Helper will do the job. Once in Wave format they can be sent to CD and played without issue.

Hello JimiDrJ, I use free CD burning software that converts the FLAC files for you before burning them to disc. The software does it automatically, you just select the FLACs that you want to burn. I use CDBurnerXP from https://www.cdburnerxp.se/

I know 1 of y'all knew my friend Bruce/'Bryan Marshall' from Orlando-I remember he got a lot of music from here (I didn't understand how he did it then, either!) in case you didn't know he had some sort of progressive bone disease & passed away in '10...

Good idea from ct, a guide!
Here’s one for Traders Little Helper, you just can’t gowrong!
Open tlh. In format tab select DECODE AUDIO FILES
Right click desktop and make a new folder, title it disc /audio you are converting.
Back in tlh, click ADD tab. Select folder of the flac youwish to convert, open and highlight all tracks.
Click OPEN tab. All selected tracks will appear in tlh.
Go to output location and click DECODE TO THIS DIRECTORY,then click the square box with three dots.
Find and select the new folder on the desktop, click OK.
    Click DECODE.
The new folder can bechecked by opening it, right click any track and select properties. It shouldshow WAVE file.
This is the folderyou burn to CD.

Thanks - no it doesn't require Office. You can use any free office suite like 'Libre Office', or 'Open Office'........plus there are file viewing softwares freely available. Have you considered using an internet search engine - Google seems quite popular.

    ????

The least you can do is respect those that are taking time out to help you.

Give it a go, you might be better thought of :-)
