1969 Complete Live Sets Cleanups - by Funkydrummer

I'm passing this along courtesy of funkydrummer.
All thanks go to funkydrummer for sharing this freely. His notes are below.

1969 - Complete Live Set Cleanups by funkydrummer 13.7gig

    1969 Live Collection by Funkydrummer.torrent

This is the result of many hours labour,to best present all available Hendrix live shows.
These were done over a period of many years so some of the earlier efforts may be lacking
    - this is an ongoing project, and my skills/techniques have hopefully improved over time.
That said, a couple of shows were hard to chooses which were the best, clean ups of different
    sources etc have different results.

In general, I have tried to choose the best so far. I have left off official stuff,
for the most part...So I decided to scrub a couple of SBDs such as RAH 2nd Show or BBC Sessions
    - because they are readily available anyway and there was nothing I could add to them.
Have included LA Forum and San Diego as they are currently unavailable as complete shows officially.

Not all the shows have been circulated yet, so many don't have release notes - but in general,
they are all FLAC sourced, unless there was no other means - for example, the AUD tape of San Diego
    - which only appeared on YouTube for a short time and then disappeared.

Mostly the sources were ATMs - so they are the best circulating, and I tried to find new
updates from CTT etc to use best sources possible.

This is a work in progress - I have 1968 and 1970 close to completion as well.
..so they should follow soon. If you should find this in your possession,
    feel free to circulate...

Don't know if it's allowed but if the CTT trackers
are down, you can get this using this magnet link:

The tracker is down at present. I do magnet links quite often but can't get this one to load.

See later in this thread for the Fix (Thank you J.Lucas).

Yeah...I just checked it out...for some reason CTT won't let me put the address in...everytime I do it ...it separates in places or leaves some things out...you see the 3 spaces??...you have copy the link to notepad and then close the space after the '8' after the 'k' in funkydrummer and after the 'b' in bittorrent....then copy that to your torrent client...I tried it and it works, has seeds also.

Thanks for the confirmation..and thank you for pointing it out in the first place........I'm scared to edit the original post and put in the instructions about the spaces because it'll probably screw up the address again...I hope people will read down a post or two
I've had my Utorrent running ever since I put it up and the trackers are down...seems they are down more than up these days..
    --
What is nice about this set is that if people already have some of the 'cleanups' they can just select the ones they don't have...
I think these live sets compliment the complete studio sets.

the torrent file downloads fine..well, it opens in your torrent client.
however ...the CTT tracker has been down for days...I posted a magnet link at the bottom...
you need to copy the magnet link to notepad and remove the 'spaces' in the address for it to work.
Then paste it in your torrent client. It works and has seeders.

I'm a little technologically slow, so bare with me. I cut and pasted it to text edit. I use a Mac. What do you mean "remove the spaces"? And lastly How do I paste it to my torrent client? Sorry for the aggravation.

when you paste it in notepad (or any editor program)you should see 3 spaces in the address..
look at he text in this post...you see the 'gaps' between each word...that's what I mean by 'spaces'.
you just need to close the 3 gaps in the magnet link address...place your cursor in the gap and hit delete...that should close the gap...
the address has to be one continuous line....this is not my posting error...it is caused by the forum(perhaps CTT doesn't allow magnet address's)..I've tried numerous times to correct it, and every time I do it comes out different.
    ---
the 'spaces' are after the '8' after the 'k' in funkydrummer and after the 'b' in bittorrent
    ---
I just open Utorrent....under the FILE tab...click on 'add torrent from url'...and paste it in there(or it may auto-paste)
click on OK...and you're good to go.
It's probably similar in other torrent programs(I only use Utorrent 2.21), however I don't know for sure.

Thanks! I wonder how the FD Oakland cleanup compares to the Dagger release? By the way, I met someone yesterday who saw Jimi at the Teenage Fair 4/4/69. He was only 8 years old at the time and was actually in a band called "The Mods" that was playing at the Teenage Fair at the RC Cola booth! He said they left the booth when someone told them Jimi was on stage with Delaney and Bonnie! He showed me a photo of his band at a Sunset Strip club called "It's Boss" with a cute poster that touted the club was open to midnight with dancing for "Age 15 and up!" His mother ran the club which had previously been Ciro's and later became the Comedy Store.

funkydrummer I am curious about what are your favorite shows of 1969.
I already have most of these..
I am personally partial to the 1970 line up though 1969 is growing on me
Anywho.. If any one else wants to chime in, have at it!

Well, I have lots of highlights from different shows, but my favourites are probably the ones we are lucky to have quality recordings of, RAH, San Diego, and of course the BoG first show, perhaps my overall favourite ever...wish we had a better one of San Jose the quality of which is not too bad, Toronto and I am a fan of Philadelphia which I'd love to have in better quality...I think the European tour got better as it went along...I find the initial shows a bit loose...it is hard to say because I can think of individual performances of excellence...

Quick question, is the 1-9-69 Stockholm shows cleaned up or are they just the regular ATM's?
