    Songs inspired by Hendrix songs

Not sure if there is already a thread on this topic, but was listening to George Duke, the jazz-fusion keyboard player, and just heard Hendrix's Earth Blues!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtc_...annel=marcodos starting at ca. 5 min. The song is called Dukey Stick (hehe).

George Duke also has another great funky song, It's On, and listening to a Jimi Hendrix studio jam or song of 1969 or so, I heard the same baseline (dud-dud-dud-dud-dud), but later couldn't find it again.

There should be more songs out there that use Hendrix songs.

The solo section of Funkadelic's "Alice In My Fantasies" uses the main riff from "Izabella"....

Funkadelic's first single and LP sounds to me like Hazel had been listening to Jimi's 1967 recordings with Curtis Knight and co.?

WCW's NWO (pro wrestling). The opening guitar wah-wah riff is (to me) lifted from "The Stars That Play" and if you jump ahead to 1:35 you will definitely hear "Highway Chile."

The Allman Brothers Band - Black Hearted Woman, recorded on 5 August 1969. The main chord (a sharp ninth) and rythm are the same as in Foxey Lady. The single note and humming riff also sounds very familiar but I can't recall which Hendrix song (can hum it though :-) ), perhaps Gypsy Eyes? There is also a bit of Crosstown Traffic.
