    13. MANIC DEPRESSION (1)

MANIC DEPRESSION [mono, US “stereo” mix just separates vocals and drums!]

Manic depression is searchin’* my so-oul
    I-I know what I want
But I just do-on’t know how to, huh, go about gettin’ it
Feelin’, sweet feelin’, drops from my fingers, fingers
Manic depression has-uh, captured my soul-uh, yeah

Woman, so weary, her sweet call’s in vai-ain
You make love, you break love, it’s-uh
All the sa-ame when it’s, when it’s over

Music sweet music, I wish I could caress, caress, caress
Manic depression is a frustratin’ mess, wow! uh

    Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

    [Solo]

    Cry on guitar

Well, I think I’ll go up turn myself off and-uh-huh
Go on down, heh,all the way down
Really ain’t no use in me hangin’ around in-uh
    Your kind of scene
Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and-uh kiss, kiss
Manic depression is a frustratin’ mess
    Wow, yeah, ow

    Music, sweet music, sweet music-uh

    [Outro]

    Music, music, yeah

    Ooh, ooh, ooh

    Yeah, beautiful-heh

    Depression

*Sounds like it may be ‘touchin’, which is a possibility, but doesn’t fit with ‘captured’..
Jimi: “Making love to music, instead of girls all the time. Sometimes you get so involved with music you wish
you could touch it physically. You say ‘music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and kiss, kiss…You know
you can feel It physically coming out of the amp – can actually feel the vibrations.”

Manic depression is touching my soul,
I know what I want, but I just don’t know how to go about getting it
Feeling, sweet feeling, drops from my fingers fingers
    Manic depression’s captured my soul.

Wom-an so willing the sweet cause in vain
You make love, you break love, it’s-a all the same when it’s, when it’s over
Music sweet music, I wish I could caress, caress caress
    Manic depression’s a frustrating mess.

Well I think I’ll go turn myself off an’ go on down,
Really ain’t no use me hanging around

    Oh I gotta see you

I was just sayin thanks for your opinion. Not that I was agreein' lol, don't agree on this occasion. Just in case anyone gets the wrong message.
Always like to hear others' opinions though, I am not the f'in Pope
Sometimes make me sway over differently heard blurred words, depending on how smashed I am lol
(STPLSD, ironically, was one I had fluctuated upon (notably) publicly (and privately of course) on the intro, between, "...they’ve wo-on..." or "...they’d wa-ant..." but a kind person posted an indisputable isolated vocal track snip that put me out of my fluctuating misery lol
Not that it made a big dent either way on Jim's most fun song ever and wildest studio solo!
By the way if you stick to original instrumentals JH recorded wi his old mates at the time '67' at arsehole Chalpin's
Why hasn't Janie co released this stuff in solid mixes wi out the total crap o/ds by Knight etc.?
Fuckin boss wi oot the shit.
Great theme used on BBC Wimbeldon World tennis championship couple years ago!
Great jams wen u can hear them wi out the Curtis pish and mad 'I'm a producer so I'll twiddle some knobs' Chalpin arsehole overdubs.
Love some of the raw tracks befo dick head started fukin wi the mix.
Still love to hear anyones's differing opinions on hard to differentiate lyrics.
