    New Book(?)

    http://univibes.com/News.html

I say book but that's a lose term here.

At 44 pages it looks more like a thin Univibes issue based on the BBC sessions.

While we talk of scrapping barrels I'm beginning to think others than EH are at it! I doubt very much there is any "new" to us information and if there is it worth 44 pages?

The recent Univibe issues have been lacking somewhat imo so I don't hold out too many hopes for much by the way of new detail here, detail that is not readily available for free on the internet.

But it is CG and he is known for detail [right or wrong], he may well surprise us all :-)

And yet, I'm sure to add it to the pile regardless!

Is it a book, a fanzine, hardback, dust cover.....?

If it's simply a take in the univibes issue then it's very very expensive.
30 for what is looking like a glorified pamphlet lay out!

How can you justify charging that,This comes in at nearly the same price as a copy of any volume of Ben Frank .

    Re: New Book(?)

Having looked at a friends copy, my initial thoughts ..

Hard to justify the cost, especially when it is put against publications like Ben Valkhoff's recent RAH single topic publication or the monster [single] editions of Ben Franklin.

Anyone who has never subbed to Univibes will do well to grab a copy though but for those of us who have subbed down the years I think most, if not all is available in that run of publications already, so I paid for it all once already!

Great to have it all pulled together like this and the lay out is as good as you get from CG. Easy on the eye and structured very well. The biggest disappointment is that it is padded out with screen shots, really?

So essential to those who are newer to collecting or never bothered with fanzines but otherwise no. Just re structured material we already know and overpriced.
