    Who's hand writing is this?

While debate will continue as to what the content of the planned but never completed 4th studio album would have been had Jimi lived to see it through, I have been debating the authority of the claim that the hand writing that appears in the attached image is Jimi's or not.

I have yet to come across a reference to this from Experience Hendrix which seems odd if it is Jimi's own hand writing. It would have had reference at some point I would have thought.

So, any and all comments welcome.

At first glance it looks a bit suspect to me, but maybe he was just scribbling fast. 'Dolly Dagger' doesn't look like his handwriting at all.

There's quite some similarities between Jimi's and Eddie Kramer's handwriting, so it might be his writing.
The only way to know would be to ask Eddie i guess.

    At first glance I'd say it's Jimi's.

Re: Who's hand writing is this?

    Thanks chaps.

I always took it for Jimi's but closer inspection suggests otherwise.
That and the fact we never have found were this came from, EH have never referenced it, McDermott has never referenced it and we don't even know what it is written on!

Asking anyone at EH is a none starter these days, there is a distinct lack of engagement [with genuine questions / information issues] from them at all levels.

It could be we have two different hands here?

I spent some time reading thru' a lot of Jimi's hand written letters / notes etc late last night and early hours. The more I look the more I'm convinced it's not Jimi.

Here's a note from Kramer from the rear of a photo'

Any other Kramer examples are more than welcome as are any from MJ!

If it is not one of these three then it's likely someone attempting to present this as Jimi's own hand!

    Just my thinking right now.

A second quick look: I don't think it's Jimi's. Indeed someone trying to imitate Jimi's handwriting, but without doing some research first.

If you look at the 2 sheets Fenders Fingers posted just now they look almost identical, but not identical to the item in question. Just look at the 'a' and other letters, they're not the same.

    I'd say we're being conned!

Jimi always dotted his "g's". That's the biggest "tell" I know of regarding his handwriting.

Yes - I also agree that that is NOT of Jimi's hand - and yes - Jimi always stylized his "a" and "g" in a particular way and this is not evident on that list. Isn't the consensus that it is an initial running order for CoL worked out by EK...before a couple were dropped for RB?

Who's concensus ? Where can we read that?

Err...yeah...hmmm - Hoffman forums? Social media? Here? Can't remember...Maybe it is not consensus? But I have discussed in the past...it makes sense in lieu of a better rationale...

Re: Who's hand writing is this?

    Cheers FD.

I have like a lot of us, read a lot of opinion and not just on this topic either!

But I'm looking at this from the perspective of getting factual support or otherwise for this / these notes.

Personally I feel they are EK's [for the most part anyway!] but its now about reaching back and looking at where they came from [we now know] and following this up.

Thanks to everyone who took time to reply, everything was considered and appreciated.
