I edit a single doc file containing all track information with ongoing changes & edits.

Given how recent these compilations are, there should be a move away from marking things as CDs... who would burn this stuff to CDs
    Is the microphone on?

Not me, haven't burnt to CD in a long time. And when I did burn to CD, I divided the sets differently, keeping sessions (single date) together as much as possible. So using any division is arbitrary and there will always be people who want it differently.

The tracks are now on hard disk, one session/date per directory. (OK, for Hendrix I made groups studio 66 - studio 70 and live 66 - live 70).

For Collectors 69 and 70 I have ZIPs that have all the tracks in one long list so dividing them is easier now.

Adding concerts to the database is difficult but not impossible. There are many variations, different sources, best possible generation, merges etc. etc. Maybe a selection only?

I'd say only identified sources and generations, including merges. (Tapes without known lineage and generation are way too difficult and probably not worth storing in a dataase.) Released versions (bootleg and official) can be included as well, even without a known source, since the information is fixed, it's something to compare to.

After having been away from collecting and sharing for some years it was to be expected there were going to be updates on the Studio 66-70 series. What I didn't expect was that trying to find out the differences would be such a pain. I have seen different updates, some short explanations on the differences compared to a previous one but the versions were not marked and the notes were clearly incorrect (pointing to tracks that had different titles, etc.).

I recently got a PDF for the Studio 70 version of March 2017 (excellent, even references a Revision A version!) and the mega links for a download but I will have to check whether the PDF and the files are of the same version. If so, I hope the owner of the mega account could rename the files so the version is clear.

I also received something called The Extra Stuff, which is a collection that will take some time to figure out what is what. Studio 67 Highlights 2nd edit 2006-04-15. Singing the Blues in NYC has clear info. WillJamz Original Edits For 1969 but no version, only a few notes like "Source: Tracks 109 and 110 of Studio 69" again without version. AstroMan's Alternate Mixes Upgrades Expanded but also without versions and no notes at all.

Do people know where to find all the latest versions of the sets? Only then we can all delete all the older versions and stop worrying about being complete or not. Also, I could free up 30 GB of possible duplicates...

I hope that for future versions, the PDFs and file sets will include the version!

So, I hope this thread will become a collection of links to the latest versions of the Studio series. And to avoid confusion, maybe someone can delete the torrent threads that are outdated?

    Thanks!
    Jerry
First, a GREAT THANK YOU... This Hendrix Collector's 1964 1970 is fantastic!!!

but only the 1969 2nd part link doesn't work (MEGA says that the MEGAsync try again to download ongoing) I've tried dozens of times... NOTHING TO DO!!!

    Hendrix Collector's 1969 (version June 2016), Part 2/4 (Mega) (3.8 GB, 102 sound files: tracks 121 - 222)

while I downloaded all the others without no problems...

If you can solve this malfunction, I'll be very grateful...

    Cheers

Still working on it. Hope to have it done sometime in the spring. Now up to 680 tracks to carefully check...75 down, 605 to go. Look for the announcement at JPIO: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/JimiPassItOn/info
