I'll try and get the pics up tonight with more commentary. It was well worth it, but the woodstock strat they had on display is...well... I dont believe it to be the woodstock strat. It didnt even have burn marks on the head!!

    hey,

Great idea, for me...a lifetime ambition to go to Seattle...but very expensive from England.... did NY in 2006, went into Electric Lady for a personal tour, went to the Wha?, Washington square park, MSG etc.

Have also done some of London...Samarkand, RAH, Hard rock to see Flying V and ronnie scotts.

If anyone is coming to London I would be very up for meeting up for a jaunt round the sites...I have Steve Rodhams book " Jimi Hendrix in New York, New Jersey and London...It has most of the sites mapped out for a tour....great book from Univibes...well worth a purchase.

Does anybody know if there will be any special celebration in Seattle on Nov. 27?? I was just looking into the possibility to travel there - pay my tribute to Jimi.

    It's Jimi's 70th Birthday this year....

But just to so you know - if anyone is planning a trip to London, you might want to wait until after the Olympics this year, accomodation will be expensive and getting around London will be hectic and overcrowded. Most London residents are trying plan their holidays to be away during as much of the Olympics as possible!

Re: Celebrating the life and legacy of Mr. James Marshall Hendrix

I made the trip and even though I found Seattle a really strange town (didn`t hear Jimis name mentioned or his music played anywhere else but at the tribute events and EMP) - I am glad I made my 15 hours flight to be there last week!
Me and Steven Roby drove together out to Renton. I have to say that the memorial are a very peaceful place!

Some EMP pics (really great exibition!), and a few from HRC private party for Jimi, and then I went to Nahville. Saw Gary Serkin and his band playing a great gig last friday at The Blue Bar! I also did record my next album in 4 days!

This year it will finally happen. Me and the girlfriend going to Seattle the week of Nov 27. I would really like to get a bunch of the CTT folks to make the pilgrimage with us-- let me Know your thoughts. Not sure if we will drive or take a plane.
