The photos credited to Bruce Colvill that are in the booklet of the AYE Sony release were also taken at the same Whisky A Go-Go show. The same 2 posters on the back wall can be seen in both photos.

I have been to The Whiskey quite a few times, and I always was amazed that Hendrix played there because it is such a small room, I'm guessing 400 to 600 people (correct me if I am wrong) It would have been very loud!!

    Gosh, I'd think 400 max.
But way more than the tiny Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, where he backed Little Richard, at least once. I'd like to have been at either show!

That reminds me, Jimi played in very small concert halls as March 13, 1967, Gyroclub (http://brumepourpre.ifrance.com/1967...yro%20Club.JPG) the concert was stopped by police because there are too many people inside the club. . . Jimi Hendrix wished she lets me play before empty club.

Boston Nov. 16, 1968, taken by Leonard Eisenberg. This shot has been colourized from the original b&w shot though. Here is the original from the contact sheet.

Would it be possible for you to post any more from this contact sheet?

I just wanted to check out the pic's from the contact sheet. Don't recall seeing many from this source. I have some of the more familiar colour stuff but the b&w's are of interest.

How about the photos are displayed out of sequence and were all (bar one) taken prior to going on stage, and that after sweating under the spotlights for an hour, they changed their shirts after they came off stage, as per the only photo where hendrix has a different shirt, and burdon has donned a white jumper, but they are obviously in the same backstage room;-) Can't remember what Jimi was wearing on stage mind you.
