Bouton Rouge very short clips of Purple Haze & Wild Thing at Gaumont cinema 67

As far I know this all that's available so far. These two songs appear to be the only ones recorded from this concert. The complete audio for them is available though.

    Saturday 01 April 1967
Ipswich, Gaumont Cinema [still open], St. Helens Street, Suffolk, England

Two shows by JHE at 18:35 and 20:45
Songs: Purple Haze (127), Wild Thing (34?) [and others unknown]
Both songs on B&W film for 90 minute French TV pop program ‘Bouton Rouge’ [Red Button] introduced by Marc Huraux
Supporting ‘The Walker Brothers’, Cat Stevens and Engelbert Humperdinck
    With: The Californians; The Quotations
    MC: Nick Jones

Disc & Music Echo (8 April) report by [unknown]: “Gary Leeds (The Walker Brothers drummer) and Jimi Hendrix formed a mini play reading group by reciting American comic strips together.”

“A French TV unit was at Ipswich Odeon theatre on Saturday filming Jimi’s act for a new 90-minute pop programme.”

Noel Redding: “Did show, changed numbers, not such a good crowd tonight, French TV filmed show.”

Can you clarify? This has Wild Thing? All files match my own, and I don't have Wild Thing.
Is it in that third .vob file, small scale? I've never been able to get the audio working on that one.

Inside the folder there is an MPEG file this is the Wild thing clip. There is also a VIDEO_TS folder inside this are three video files this is the purple haze you can open all four separately with windows media player or the whole VIDEO_TS folder with VLC, but the MPEG has to be open separate.
    cheers

Thank you! The Wild Thing fragment is fantastic, and Jimi points to the cameraman taking the video - at us, the viewer.

    Lovely.

    STPLSD!
Please I don't want to "sound" ungratefu
but we're not here to play puzzle or crosswords.
    Be more precise.

    Who plays it (Jimi Hendrix)
    Where.
    Date.
    Track list.
Video or audio attributes (which song is in VOB, which is in MPGE etc..).

    Why would we have
to download the torrent first to know what's inside?
    Thanks for the upload anyway.

I'm not sure about ungrateful, but certainly an offensively sarcastic tone.

Re: Bouton Rouge very short clips of Purple Haze & Wild Thing at Gaumont cinema 67

This is the info I compiled for this title:

    The Jimi Hendrix Experience

    Gaumont
    Ipswich, Suffolk
    England, U.K.
    April 1st, 1967

    - Fillmed by French TV in black & white
    (Purple Haze & Wild Thing)

    - Broadcast:
Track 01: "Arte" TV channel (date ?)
    Track 02: French TV Channel 3 (?) - date (?)

    Video attributes:
    - Track 01 (Purple Haze):
    Video format: MPEG-2 (VOB)
    - Track 2 (Wild Thing):
    Video format: MPG

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Track list:
    01. Purple Haze (3.52)

Only a fragment of the song consisting of three parts:

    Part 1:
0.00 - 0.49 - beginning of the song with Jimi filmed
from left side of the stage in B&W (with French subtitles)
    0.50 - 1.11
continuation of the song with voice over and some
slides (in color) of the advertisements for the movies
popular in the late 60s (no Jimi's video).

    Part 2:
0.00 - 0.01 - continuation of PH, beginning of the
documentary this segment is obviously a part of.
    Title on the black screen:
    TURN ME ON (in English)
1967: Paroles et Musiques (in French)
1967: Utopien und Musik (in German)
The above is most peculiar since three titles
in three different languages mean obviously
different things - is that some kind of a message?
0.02 - 0.41 - continuation of PH. We see and hear
Jimi again in black & white (with French subtitles)
    0.42 - 0.47 - PH continuation (audio only)
with black screen and written words:
Un film de / Ein Film von
    Marc Huraux
(is it the beginning or the end - we don't know)
0.47 - 0.48 - silence with the hand over the
mixing console clicking on the stop button (!?)

    Part 3:
    0.00 - 1.53
Silent part, with video of the TV station's control
    room showing various control-monitors with
broadcast of this same video from the (original)
beginning and the title "Made in USA" on one of
    them.

    02. Wild Thing (0.21)
Different TV broadcast then the first track.
    With voice over in French.

    Additional notes about this concert date;

Disc & Music Echo (April 8th, 1967) by unknown reporter:
“Gary Leeds (The Walker Brothers drummer) and Jimi
Hendrix formed a mini play reading group by reciting
    American comic strips together.”

“A French TV unit was at Ipswich Odeon theatre on Saturday
filming Jimi’s act for a new 90-minute pop programme.”

    Noel Redding's diary:
“Did show, changed numbers, not such a good crowd tonight,
    French TV filmed show.”

    May 2008.

This is how approximately info-text for this torrent should have looked like.

Re: Bouton Rouge very short clips of Purple Haze & Wild Thing at Gaumont cinema 67

Considering infos, when it's not complete I compile whatever info I could find and put it into a text file together with the torrent.
I shared it with other people who might appreciate more details about the torrent they are downloading. Sometimes after a year or two of collecting different stuff, you can't exactly remember what every title contains of in detail.
I have at least 5 Button Rouge, or Ipswich, Or Gaumont April 1st folders. All of them a little different.
Without detailed text-info files I would have to watch all titles every time I browse through my Hendrix-videos to know exactly what's inside every one of them. This way I just have to open the text file.
This an advice for every serious or amateur collector without photographic-memory. When your collection excedes 100 titles of any musician
you simply can't remember everything, especially with so many titles in circulation with very similar content.
So, I might be arrogant, but think what kind of epithet someone might give to you?

the brief small portions of purple haze and wild thing was originally broadcasted by France TV in 1998?(?) with also small Johnny Halliday interview , VHS rip , last year ARTE Tv broacasted the Purple haze fragment,
    and digitally recorded from satellite.

Re: Bouton Rouge very short clips of Purple Haze & Wild Thing at Gaumont cinema 67

I downloaded this same dvd before
    same video_ts folder, matching files
which I can mostly seed this torrent from
except without the extra wild thing mpeg thrown in there
so, this is the original text file
from wherever I downloaded this dvd before
and thank you for the wild thing. here's what it said:

    JIMI HENDRIX
Recorded at Gaumont St. Helen Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, England
    April 1, 1967
    B&W, excellent quality
    Original broadcast: May 21, 1967 - "Bouton Rouge" (French T.V) - Piece 6547
Rebroadcast: August 4, 2007 - Part of "Turn me on" documentary, Arte TV Channel
    >>> Purple Haze live, incomplete but previously unreleased ! (Wild Thing was also recorded but isn't included in this rebroadcast)

Arte Channel via TNT > PAL DVD+RW / HQ Mode / MPEG-1 sound via Standalone > editing via DVD Shrink > Video-TS

Notes: This is an upgrade to my previous version, Arte has rebroadcast this program on Saturady and I have record it again but in
HQ / 60min mode (previous was done in SP / 120min mode, this explain the size difference). There's an extra snippet that was missing
previously due to a slight broadcast trouble / cut. At least, I think my editing is better this time so get it, this is the one to keep !
Enjoy, Share & Preserve Quality !!!
