Re: 1967-02-20 De Lane Lea Studios

    Monday 20 February 1967
De Lane Lea Music Ltd, 129 Kingsway, London. JHE

    Producer : Chas Chandler
    Engineer : Dave Siddle

I Donít Live Today (inst) take 1 (5)
I Donít Live Today (inst) take 2 (6)
I Donít Live Today (inst) take 3 (7)
    I Donít Live Today take 4 (1, 2, 3*, 4, 42)

*This has two different lead vocal takes, deliberately (I assume) well out of synch in places.

Jimi: ďI wrote this song called ĎI Donít Live Todayí, we got the music together in the studio Ė itís a freak-out tune. I might as well say that Ďcause everyone else is going to anyway. ĎFreak-outí was old Californian lingo for humping in the back seat of a car - Iím being frank thatís all, so I guess Iíll get deported soon.Ē

Noel: ďItís in C-sharp and it was quite a hard track to do.Ē

    20. Bath, The Pavilion, North Parade Road, Somerset
JHE concert between 19:30 and 22:30 (60 minutes)
