This film seems to have been produced by Murray the K, as he is the main feature, and portrayed as if the sixties were based around him and his shows

On his last tour, billed as the 'Jimi Hendrix Experience'. Jimi wore this African styled 'Fire Angel' costume for at least 10 of his last 15 concerts. From at least the 21st June, at Ventura, and possibly on the two preceding concerts on his "Cry Of Love Tour", as he named it, until the trousers split during the Isle Of Wight concert. He wore the jacket half only once more at the disasterous Arhus concert in Denmark.

Hendrix plays a white Strat(?) during this show if I remember. He played a black Strat and a Flying-V at IOW.
What is the quality of this?

Quality is very good to excellent but Jimi's portion wasn't very well filmed and the light show? (red spotlight) makes it mostly red. Interesting for the genuine footage of the main radical Harlem (Randall's Island is connected to Spanish Harlem by bridge) group at the festival 'the Young Lords Party' the Puerto Rican version of the 'Black Panther Party' who are wearing purple berets. They took over "security" at the concert, made speeches from the stage and set up stalls loaded with their tracts, and allegedly were paid an undisclosed sum. most of the other footage of "radicals" filmed indoors was made years later using actors.

I remember seeing this on USA Network's "rock" show "NIGHT FLIGHT" in the early '80's. Phil Ochs is also featured in the film, singing "I Ain't Marching Anymore" which was obviously shot several years earlier.
