Those 67 "knight" jams, pretty far out, cool, or what!

Got to love them. BBC chosing one for a Wimbledon theme really brought it home how great these jams were. Jimi, Bugs, Lucas (and [Billy?] Shears-ha-ha-ha, whoever he was on the 12 string) were 'grroo-oovin' big style. Just a pity Ed (the total beast, scum bag) won't give us closer mixes to the originals. He is such a complete tit he can't see the quality and how much he could make, or does he still just hate Jimi? Probably just a typical engineer/producer that can't let good things alone)Apparently the only song Knight was involved in at the time of these jams was, the totally shite, 'Gloomy Monday' (Possibly "Business" (writing? vocal overdub? too?). All other vocals and, the very annoying, tambourine were added much later. As it is to some of the "live" songs, apparently, often, his only contribution, added much later 'Drivin' South' is a prime example, the intro, "lyrics" and tambourine were so obviously added later. Of course we all/mostly realise that these songs were recorded in a studio, most likely PPX, "audience" banter, some lyrics, some guitar, bass & drums were added much later. The "audience" banter very possibly "recorded 'live'" at 'George's Club 20'

i agree stplsd, it would be so great to hear the complete versions, and not doctored up version's,maybe he hates the fans too, cause he changes names of stuff, and re-releases the same stuff, under a different name

Bugs and Ray Lucas lay down some great grooves on bass and drums.
Ray Lucas is obviously a funkier drummer than either Mitch or Buddy.
The complete intrumental jams that have surfaced are pretty good really.
A shame the sound is a bit muddy (Chalpin never bothered having decent equipment)...and to my ears it's audible that Jimi is very stoned.
