    The Hendrix Auction Thread

Thought it might be a good idea to have a thread to post interesting auctions up.

    I'll start with this beauty.

You've got to love a guy charging $4K for a T-shirt yet still has the balls to ask for $5.99 to ship it

Wasn't that Jimi's "showbiz" age? Chandler took a few years off him to make him more attractive to teenage girls.
    Still, what a bust.

Its morons like that seller that were responsible to stealing, making money on the passing of Jimi.
this seller and the other prick asking for $4000 for a bloody T-shirt make me very angry.
makes any genuine fan of Jimi blind with rage.

Looks like a fair deal to me, people have paid much more for a lot less before.

Does a later gen Aud of this source circulate on this tracker already? I only can find the Larry Yelen source of the early show and the Hellman source of the second show.

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

OK, I'm intrigued, so who is this fellow "Brian"?
Nice photo of him and Jimi. Very interesting, the whole thing sounds authentic to me.
    Brian states:
......since the guitar was never raffled it came back to the house that evening. in an attempt to get me to stophandling his own guitars jimi gave me the bronco so we could play together. he later signed it before we
    returned to the states

It seems that Brian may have been part of Jimi's entourage(?). ".....before we returned to the states"
Or maybe he was employed by Warner Brothers and/or he was a member of the film crew(?)

That photo looks like Eric Barrett. Does he have a son?
I think this guitar and the family photo may be being sold by Eric Barrett or an acquaintance of Eric's(?)

I think its Jimi, but the eyebrows look like they are at a 45 degree angle, like this is Jimi's evil twin brother or something

"in an attempt to get me to stop handling his own guitars jimi gave me the bronco so we could play together. he later signed it before we

It's a stretch, but what if Brian is the name of Eric Barrett's kid in the photo and he was always caught messing around with Jimi's Guitars?
...and Jimi gave him the guitar so they could play "together".

    then....

"the guitar comes with photocopy of current/original owner of guitar with jimi hendrix in hawaii"

    (it's the kid)

And Eric Barrett's son would now be, what, 49 years old. ("it has been a long time, hasn't it?")

.......Unlikely, but wouldn't that be a cool story if true?
