I think its Jimi, but the eyebrows look like they are at a 45 degree angle, like this is Jimi's evil twin brother or something

Look at the size of the hands. There is only one Black Guitarist who ever had hands that big. But I agree the eyebrows, hairline look different and the face seems longer. Hey but who knows what he was on when the photo was taken.

It's a stretch, but what if Brian is the name of Eric Barrett's kid in the photo and he was always caught messing around with Jimi's Guitars?
...and Jimi gave him the guitar so they could play "together".

    then....

"the guitar comes with photocopy of current/original owner of guitar with jimi hendrix in hawaii"

    (it's the kid)

And Eric Barrett's son would now be, what, 49 years old. ("it has been a long time, hasn't it?")

.......Unlikely, but wouldn't that be a cool story if true?
Not unlikely, I think you are spot on. That's Eric's son in the photo. And yes, VERY cool.

That's Hendrix in the photo, he appears to be squinting. Interesting auction.

    Thanks Yazid,
I just wrote a question to the seller if he was the kid in the photo. (the one accompanying the guitar). Waiting for a response.

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

Here is the response I received from the seller

"my client is Brian, i am
selling this guitar for him. yes, he is the boy
    in the picture."

Apparently the story is true, but we still don't know if it is Eric's son, though.

What bothers me is that to have a signed guitar and to say that Jimi actually played it are certainly two claims that would need to be substantiated seperately.

(To say nothing of who the woman is)

Cool, if your looking to sell check prices before putting it up. I'm sure someone here will link you to a site that sells original posters etc.
Or if you know what minimum you would like for it you can offer it up here for any interested party.
