Of course, it really looks like it could be Eric's son and Eric's wife but maybe not. Anyway I do not want to bother Eric about it...He did not answer regarding the seller text...

Technically this is a Hendrix auction. If someone feels it should be elsewhere (or if it already is elsewhere), feel free to move/remove it.

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

I have a concert poster from the Fillmore Auditoreum shows , Is this of any value?

As with anything, how much it's worth is what somebody is willing to pay for it. Condition and rarity are the 2 most important things that affect value. A couple of tears or creases can devalue a piece by 50% or more.

i don't think that you can sell your tape of a concert on ebay, even if you're the one who recorded the concert.

this quote is from a recent seller of this poster on eBay

    re: helping to spot fakes

(BTW: Brad Rogers mentioned below, is THE major WHO collector/expert in the world)

JIMI HENDRIX Hapshash FILLMORE Osiris Poster AUTHENTIC

READ ABOUT THE BOOTLEGS ON EBAY & HOW TO TELL THE DIFF.

This is an ORIGINAL and very rare 1967 Osiris poster designed by Hapshash and the Coloured Coat for the Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco This is a very heavily bootlegged poster, with originals being almost impossible to find (see more about how to tell the difference below.) Unfortunately, allmost every copy of this poster offered on Ebay is a counterfeit.
I recently spoke to Nigel Weymouth of Hapshash (he and Michael
English created this poster) and he confirmed that this poster was done after Hendrix appeared at the Fillmore, at Jimi Hendrix's request. He also told me that after the posters were printed, Bill Graham, the owner of the Fillmore, objected and so these were shelved and never distributed. He confirmed that obviously a small number got out, but these were never commercially distributed by Osiris as other posters in their series were.
Original first printings of this heavily bootlegged poster are extremely rare, and the fact that it's a Jimi Hendrix poster makes this one of the most collectible posters by Hapshash, or in the Osiris series (the highly acclaimed and collectible psychedelic posters made in London in 1967/68, printed and distributed by the Osiris Agency. ) This is number OA 103 in the series.
The poster measures 19 5/8" x 29 3/8" and is in incredible near mint condition (very close to mint.) Printed on fairly thin paper with metallic ink, these posters are almost never found in this condition.
Many of the Osiris/ Hapshash posters have been bootlegged and passed off as original first printings, including this one. T is an excellent and just updated article about this and the Osiris/Hapshash posters in general by Brad Rogers at ( http://hapshash_&_osiris_posters.htm ). Brad has detailed much about the bootleg Osiris posters and it's really worth checking out. Don't believe the dealers who claim these weren't bootlegged--they absolutely were. Forget people's claims that t was a "newly found stash" of originals--it's not true. Brad has just updated his site with even more information about the originals versus fakes, and I visited him recently and compared his originals and mine with some known fakes, and while the fakes are very well done, when you compare the two it's obvious which are the originals.
On this particular poster, t are a few ways to tell if you are looking at an original. The originals were silkscreened, so looking closely you can see areas w the layers of ink have built up on top of one another. The credit line at the bottom right-hand edge on the originals reads "Printed In England/OA 103/c Osiris Visions Ltd/90 Westbourne Ter W2." The credit line on the bootleg reads "OA 103. Printed In England c1967 by the Osiris Agency." Both are illustrated in photographs below. On the bootleg, t is what looks like a "halo" of a few millimeters that surrounds Jimi's name and the feathers of his headress at the top of the poster--this doesn't appear on the original. And t is a lot more detail on the originals than on the bootlegs. If you want to read more about the bootlegs and the originals, I strongly encourage you to visit Brad's website.
We know this to be absolutely genuine as it has been sitting in storage for more than 20 years (the boots date from the last 5-6 years or so.) This came from a never before on the market poster collection I was lucky enough to purchase. It was inherited 20 years ago by a non-collector, who recently unpacked it for the first time. "

    hope this helps

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

So Yazid contacts Eric Barrett, who, maybe, calls his son and says WTF are you doing and the items gets removed. (or in the UK, not yet)

I would still love to hear Brian's story from him personally, and I've always thought that Eric Barrett should write a book, but, that was covered in another thread.

Don't worry. As soon as Eric Barrett dies, they will be back up for sale again.

    Re: The Hendrix Auction Thread

Haven't gone back through this thread, has it been confirmed that this guy is Barrett's son? Going through his feedback he seems to sell vintage music equipment.
