On a related note, it appears that young Jimi Hendrix liked to draw football players. The ESPN link in the article goes into more detail, but also discusses non-Hendrix-related stuff.

    Just looking at that Rupe.
Hard to say if this is a self portrait.

Hmm, but who else would he draw?

He didn't always draw himself that's for sure. But to put a name on this is impossible.
    Noel?
Impossible to put a name on this and have any confidence of course. Jimi? Noel? Any other that he and Bil both knew!
Anyone else here seen this and if so thoughts please.

I can't read the postmark but Univibes says it was posted 5 April 67 & he didn't meet her until he was in Liverpool, 9 April. So if he hadn't even met her, would he do a drawing of anybody else?

I had always thought that the self-portrait of Jimi in front of the amps had been drawn by a roadie. I guess I was wrong. Look at the similarities in these two.

Jimi's dad. I think that these are drawn by Jimi:

Jimi's Elvis and two of the "felt tip pen drawings". I've got 15 more of the felt tip ones on my computer. let me know if they have not been uploaded to the site, or if they would even be pertinent to this discussion, (I may be getting of track?):

Post them in the Gallery under your own gallery. This way you'll have a back-up set off-site. The way people upload like crazy Pat must have unlimited storage space here.
