Got this from Dime, I'm surprised this isn't on Crosstown Torrents yet. For the ones who can't manage to register at Dime...... Notice that I altered the name of the torrent, I don't want to upset Emilovious but I also don't want to upset my torrent client.

    LOL!!!

i think emil can live with this title, hehee.
I reseeded this on the old tracker a couple of times. one of the..., if not THE best (audience) show from 1970 IMO. Really awesome Machine Gun, and a MUST for anyone who doe not have it yet. thanks for putting it up!

upsetting Emilovious should be the least of your concerns

this is definitely one of my favorite recordings from 1970, I got this awhile ago so I think I have the first version as there is numerous drop outs and pitch problems.

Hehehe, I don't think anyone with a bit of experience with collecting would like any change of original title.
Considering your change, I didn't even notice it (is it so subtle?).
The one I'd notice would have to be some thing like:
"Nooormaaaan, wicked boy, you've been out with gaaaals, HA?!"

Considering this recording, well, it is one of the best of the '70 US tour, for sure.
Instrumental introduction (solo guitar) to Machine Gun is not Rock or anything we know but musically something completely out of this world, magnificent, extraordinary, beautiful, unique - in short - masterpiece of contemporary music only Jimi Hendrix was able to produce.

Just checked, torrent works fine for me.
I think you should check your computer settings. If you have no problems on other sites, first thing is to reload the site-page.
2nd thing is to keep the site's web page (any one, not necessary this one) open during the download process on this site (as well as upload).
Third is to re-start your computer.
If nothing of the above helps, contact mods, maybe they can help.
In any case, check the peer list above and you'll see that this torrent works for many people from all over the world so the problem is most probably somewhere on your side.

If you resolved the problem in the meantime,
    please let us know.

Very nice upgrade from my previous source. This is one of Jimi's best shows from this period, maybe one of his all-time best. The people in Norman must have been blown away that night. Thank you very much for this post!

    Well . . . . . He did add some artwork.
    DenHaag - -
We're all friends here. Talk to us buddy

    Gotta go "Off-Topic" for a minute here for this . . . . . .
The above 2 posts are important. I also keep everything on my drive, except for things that are now back on P9 which have already been backed up on DVD's.
    So, regarding the older things:
Some folks don't ask 4 a re-seed when they already notice seeders on a thread. So, in an effort to "share" AND raise my "used to be" crappy ratio I go an xtra step which is . . .
Every 2 or 3 days, I check down the front page for leechers. When I see one, I un-pause the file in my tracker (Transmission) and voila, I'm seeding.
Then I go on to Page 2 and do the same thing. I might go back 3 or 4 pages where things get pretty scarce, and I also don't want to spread my bandwidth too thin. Remember, there's also Demon, Dime, Tape City, TTD and HC to consider too. Ok-Zappateers also . . . . (And hundreds of others. These listed are ones I use).
In a day or two, the Leech is seeding & I can now pause mine & move on to the next older item. The whole procedure takes about 3 minutes and works great. It's just a quick maintenance move and most importantly,
It helps people and new friends get their Jimi Hendrix music QUICKLY!!!!
It's far easier and way more friendly than bumping everything up front with a copy/paste message to "whomever". Yes?
    Thanx Mon Ami.
    And WELCOME TO CROSSTOWN TORRENTS.

Heard about this show in the "heaviest songs" thread. Can't wait to listen, big thanks to seeders and DoctorGero!!
During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

Re: The Jimi Hendrix Experience ~ ATM 192 ~ Norman, Is That You Norman?

This was posted recently over on Dime. I'm sure RioBlanco, the OP won't mind me copying it here to CTT:

"I was a student at the University of Oklahoma at this time and went to both of these shows. The campus was boiling over with protests and demonstrations against the Viet Nam war, the Nixon regime and then came Kent State. Flash point. The demonstrations became so strong, with both the administration building and the ROTC building taken over and held by students, that the Governor was on the verge of calling out the National Guard. That would have been a huge, huge mistake given what had occurred at Kent State. There were, however, many direct confrontations between local and campus police. At one point police cars were driven directly into crowds of protesters. Not a wise decision. The police cars were surrounded by throngs of protesters and at that point they were no longer able to move. We immediately began to rock the police cars back and forth with the flatfoots still inside. Now, I don't know where you line up on this kind of thing or if you can even relate to the climate on our nation's college campus' at that volatile time in our nation's history, but I must say that it felt mighty good to rock those cop cars back and forth until, ultimately, they rolled over on their tops looking like some sort of black and white upside down turtle. So this was the climate when Jimi came to town. He took the stage at both shows wearing a large black armband with a white letter "K" on it and dedicated the music that night to all those at Kent State who had been murdered by the Ohio National Guard. As mentioned earlier, "Machine Gun" was, and still is, the most amazing and chilling version of that song I've ever heard. For me, I could hear the sounds of the terror on the Kent State campus, the screams of the students and the crack of the rifle fire. Heady stuff, indeed.

In between the shows, Jimi stepped outside the back of the Field House to enjoy a ''smoke'' and several of us joined him. There was a bond that night shared by Jimi and all those in attendance that was apparent and undeniable. It wasn't a case of "rock star" and "fans". It was humans interacting with other humans for the greater cause. After the smoke break, it was time to go back inside and do it again.

Nice to see this recording back around. By the way, the fellow who recorded this is named Lee Agnew and he used his parents reel to reel to capture this moment in history. Also, in the Fall 2000 issue of "Experience Hendrix" magazine, there's a very good story commemorating the 35 year anniversary of this show complete with photos and interviews with some of those at the show, including yours truly.

Thanks very much for posting this on the 40th Anniversary of this historic show.

    -- RioBlanco"

I wonder if the taper, Lee Agnew, was any relation to Spiro T.?

I was a UCLA student around this time. Even UCLA got into the May '70 protests, which as I recall were specifically about Nixon's bombing of Cambodia.

Although relatively tame compared to what was going on in Berkeley and Ohio, I was there when a 7-foot tall red headed rabble rouser named Bill Walton hijacked a meter maid's cart and then laid down in the middle of Wilshire Blvd. to stop traffic.
