    Wednesday 14 January 1970
Juggy Sound Studios, New York City
Reviewing the concert tapes for the forthcoming ‘Band Of Gypsys‘ album
Producer: Jimi Hendrix (Heaven Research Unlimited)
    Engineer: Eddie Kramer

    Details unknown

EK: “I don’t know that Jimi felt that these concerts were his best performances, but there were parts of them that he was really happy with. Certainly 'Machine Gun' and tracks like 'Message To Love' sounded pretty good. At the time, he didn't want to include new songs that he wanted to finish in Electric Lady. Jimi was kind of resigned to the fact that here we are, we have to mix this, we got to give it to Capitol, it wasn't a Warner's record, let's do the best we can with it. Let's cut it down and make it a decent album."
