Don't have a samsung blu-ray player (mine's a sony) but i've had samsung t.v. for a couple of years now and have had no problems with it. Also, Samsung are generally reguarded as having a good reputation for T.V.'s and blu-ray players.

Or maybe better to get a play station?
Bluray player, recordable Hard Drive and access to material on pc via a wireless conection.
