UPDATE: Apparently this comes from the "51st Anniversary - Story of Life" boot but with no additional information provided there. Absent additional facts my opinion below remains the same.

    --------------------

Sounds more like Buddy Miles Express than BOG. Perhaps its an outtake from the Electric Church lp produced by Jimi but I can't say with any certainty that Jimi is playing guitar on it. Might be Jim McCarty.

And while we're on the subject of "Electric Church", Jimi doesn't get enough credit for producing "Miss Lady". Best song on the album if you ask me!

I was right on the money on this one! It's not "Street Things" its "The Sweet Things (Destructive Love)" produced by Jimi Hendrix for the Buddy Miles Express lp "Electric Church" and officially released there. (Not sure if the YouTube is exactly the same as the official release.)

Does Jimi play on it? Maybe, the guitar sound is right, but you might expect that if he was producing Jim McCarty. If it is Jimi, he's unusually restrained and that country lick during the solo is atypical for him. But he's only credited as producer on the lp.
