My graduation gift

I graduated with my masters in accounting in May and received a huge present from girlfriend:

She was actually taking an art class at the time and had one project left to complete. Since she had planned on making this for me anyway, she asked her teacher if she could submit it as her final project as well. The teacher said it was fine so she was able to kill two birds with one stone. If you can't tell, it's supposed to be a cd cover and she put a lot of thought into it based on the countless times I blabbed to her about Jimi. The image she used for the stratocaster is supposedly one that he actually owned (not sure about that) and the pictures are in chronological order starting from the top left of the body down to the bottom. Also, she remembered me telling her how Jimi saw sounds as colors which gave her idea of adding the colors breaking through the paper.

I'll have to get a better picture taken as it's hard to see the details. The actual picture is massive and she had it framed so that I could hang it on my wall. Just thought it was very cool and worth sharing.
